Tobacco Scent Shave Soaps

SMN would be my pick. Very similar to the RazorRock shown above but more luxurious in performance. I have both and like both, but SMN wins out….just something magical about it for me.

This theme of tobacco scents is a real rabbit hole. What do you mean? Green tobacco, cured tobacco, pipe tobacco, cigar tobacco, humidor, cigarette, burning tobacco, ashtray etc.? For that matter, what strain of tobacco are you referring to? Virginia, Oriental, Burley, Latakia etc.

For a real cured tobacco leaf scent, I like Ethos Mandarino Fumo but good luck trying to find it. WSP has a nice Tobacco soap as does Eufros. Los Jabones de Joserra Rodrigo de Jerez (named for the Columbus crewmember who is said to have brought back tobacco from the New World to Europe) is IMHO excellent. I am told Mammoth Tobacconist is good but have not tried it.

All this is a matter of subjective opinion and YMMV.

Ethos Mandarino Fumo smells to me like Barrister & Mann Full Measure of a Man. Anyone else get that?

I would like you to tell "the powers that be" that in 2024 there is no excuse for not having nice artwork on the containers.
I'm in the opposite corner. There are soaps that I wouldn't give a second glace because of the artwork. Maybe it's just ugly, not my style, or what goes for "art" these days. Give me a classy label like Captain's Choice or Stirling.

To keep the thread on track my favorite tobacco scent is Highland Springs Soap Company's Havana Vieja. Warm, spicy, and a little sweet. Second would be Stirling Gentleman.

I spoke to Frank from Ethos, he plans on bringing back the Mandarino Fumo late November possibly.

I could not get rid of my set of B&M Full Measure of Mrs. Butterworths fast enough. Luckily a willing victim 'er recipient offered a trade. Ethos Mandarino Fumo, to me, is the real deal and nothing like that cloying, syrupy Full Measure of Mrs. B's.
