Great Basement Find! WW2 Family Heirloom :D

So it needs a little bit of a clean... but other then that
I found this beautiful tiny Figaro safety razor complete with case which I believe was issued by the French army during world war 2. If anyone could shed a little more light that'd be much appreciated.

The handle almost looks like it's on backwards(?) It seems like the traditional DE handle is tapered or necked where it attaches to the head and straight at the back end. The handle reminds me somewhat of a Merkur standard handle. In any case, great find!

Nope! It's a tiny piece. And she shaves like a dream <3

I found one similar to yours today while looking through an ammo box that belonged to my great uncle. It has 99 Unis-France 44 stamped on it. Can't wait to clean it up and give it a whirl.
