Got RAD Bad: Just Pulled the Trigger on Two New Merkurs

I've got the itch bad fellas. I have two DE razors and I love the both of them, but I just couldn't resist. I have been looking at Merkurs for some time now, and with the great price and free shipping offer from West Coast Shaving, I ordered myself two different Merkur 1904 models. I couldn't decide between the open comb and the regular safety bar so I nabbed one of each. Anyone own these razors? What do you guys think of them or Merkurs in general?

I started with an HD...a keeper.
Moved to a Slant 39 sledgehammer....keeper
Picked up the 1904 open comb....too mild for me....sold it, but I love the look of the razor.
Bought a slant 37c...keeper.

3 out of 4 ain't bad.

Edwin Jagger=bueatifull
Merkur=meant to shave with

+1. In a nutshell, this is true though EJ's are great too.
I have the 1904 closed comb. It's really smooth, has a nice ornate solid handle, and very nice balance. You'll enjoy it.
I don't have the 1904 OC but do have the 12C. These are mild compared to other OC's (vintage Gillette NEW's, FaTip, R41)but actually are great introductory open-combs.
You'll enjoy either way.

I've shaved with my Edwin Jagger 4 or 5 times now and I love that razor to death, but I still tend to switch back to my Ming Shi when I want to practice a new technique or a new angle or try out a new blade. I really don't have a desire to try an aggressive razor right now because even though my Ming Shi is supposed to be a mild shaver, I still get great results with it and it gives me a great shave. I look forward to getting these razors. Thanks for the input guys!
