I've seen the Gem Jr mentioned before as a popular SE. Is it one of the favorites around here? I saw I got one in a lot I opened up today. It does look pretty cool . . .
Another fine score! The GEM is a very nice SE razor, the Christy is next to unusable, but they do look cool. I say "next to" because you can split a DE blade and wedge it into the razor. I tried once... once. To quote me quoting Comic Book Guy, "Worst Shave Ever!"
Won't a standard SE blade work? Christy was just down the road from me, so there's a bit of a connect there.
the Christy for some reason reminds me of the Nightmare before Christmas. Creepy. Oh well...

Some would argue, myself included, that the 1912 like the one pictured is the best razor ever designed. The "Junior" on it means nothing, some were stamped with it and others without.

Nice! did you clean that up and if so do tell how. Looks like a great polish job.
Seeings that we are from the same area and I also have a SE that I love, I want to let you know that you can get GEM and Blue Star blades @ Boyds or the "Old" Albertsons Family Thrift has PAL all at reasonable prices too, but since you enjoy Williams you may have already seen these blades at either location. WG has the GEM but want twice as much.
Have you guys found any local "hot spots" for picking up soaps, blades, brushes, AS or anything else? I see that Main Street Market sells Kiss My Face and some over shaving supplies!
