What's new

Goodwill, or just the box?

Three piece, no SN or Gillette markings at all. No indexing slot, just the two studs and the threaded stud. Handle seems solid.

Sorry for the crappy pics, I'm supposed to be cooking dinner...

Doesn't look like a Goodwill to me... no indentations in the head. The handle leads me to think it's an ABC Old Type (ie: made by American Button Co. for Gillette).

You got a Gillette ABC Pocket Edition razor in a Goodwill box. And an ABC that looks to be in excellent shape.

And depending on whether the seller new the difference and priced accordingly, you might have gotten a great deal. The ABC's are a more aggressive razor compared to a Goodwill, but they're also more collectible. So, they tend to sell for more than Goodwills.

Edited to add: Not all the Goodwills had indentations or engraving on the top of the razor cap. I have one that doesn't - the #160 model. It has indentations on the bottom of the cap and pins on the guard.

Good to know. thanks.

Thanks for confirming...I guess I'll find a member who needs a Goodwill box.

I think I did OK, I paid well under twenty for the razor and the box.
