Goodwill Find

Since trying out the Traveling scuttle my wife developed a great fondness for warm lather as I shave her legs. A day after she had said cold lather wasn't going to cut it anymore , I found myself near a local Goodwill store and went in to have a look around.
First I found a deep, wide lipped bowl that looked like it had been an insert of some type and looked very promising. After only 10 minutes of searching, a ceramic mixing bowl caught me eye, would it fit? Yes! An almost perfect fit and a decent color match too!

The insert was .99 and the mixing bowl 1.99
I added some sheet cork as a gasket and I had a very nice little lather warmer to keep my wife happy!
The insert bowl is 5 inches lip to lip, 3.5 across the shoulders and 2 inches deep. The entire scuttle is 5 inch diameter and 4 inches tall and sits nicely in the palm of my hand while holding plenty of lather.

Nice! I think all of my good non-razor finds were at Valuevillage. Goodwill around here has rediculous prices. I usually end up walking across the parking lot to kmart and buying stuff for the same price or cheaper....
