Good source for D rings for making strops?

I want to make a batch of very basic strops, nothing but a D ring at each end of a big piece of veg tanned leather and an S hook for hanging from a door hinge and a loop for a door knob. Anybody know of a good source for plated or stainless D rings 2-1/2" to 3" wide? I would like to keep my costs down because I want to include one free with my Gold Dollar conversions. Thanks!

Hey thanks for those links. I am going with the 3" and I think I will get my leather from them, already cut to 3" strips. I was going to get a big piece from McMaster-Carr.

No problem. This actually works out good for me too. I found a source for 3" cotton strapping that I was going to offer in 2' lengths for those who want to make their own cotton strops. I'll add the option of rings too.

Wow, good question and good links! I'm in the process of making some green-, red-, and black-pasted hanging strops from vegetable-tanned leather obtained from McMaster-Carr (5" widths cut into two 2-1/2"-wide pieces, see pic). There I used a grommet and Chicago screw posts to hold the two pieces of leather in place. Sort of wish I'd known about these other sites beforehand! That red latigo from Saddle Tree looks Big Daddy-ish, so you might like it, Slash. Personally, I find the vegetable-tanned pieces from McMaster-Carr a little too spongy and elastic for my taste, although the strop as shown below is doing its intended job. I'm hoping that once the leather absorbs moisture from the air, this will harden it.
