After hearing me rant about my new SR addiction and how I would like to try a DE, a friend of mine brought me a 1954 Gillette Super Speed that he found in a drawer in his mothers house. It is in great shape by my standards! Always great to have good friends!!

I had a friend give me a New low price set and a cased steel handle black tip. He refused any offer of money because he knew I would appreciate them. Lunch is on me for our next few trips out.

A Super Speed is a good razor, your buddy is a great friend.
1954 I believe was a transition year and the Super Speed was made in both the 40s style and the 50s flare tip. Which one is yours?
