Gold Techs more common than silver?

I now have this very razor,

except in gold. I saw several of them lately at antique malls, but don't think I saw one silver (I prefer silvertone to goldtone, so it would have caught me eye).

Are silver Techs not as common, or is it just where I'm looking?

Thanks!

EDIT

Also - I've noticed the heads on the one in the pic and others have that diamond, but the one I bought was totally bare with no trace of a diamond; laquer was almost totally gone so I removed the rest the other night. Is that diamond a decal of some kind that wears off over time? Can't tell if it's that or stamped in.

There are several different cap designs on the Techs over time. Most are plain, but others include different frosted effects and indented "Gillette" text. I have found basically equal numbers of gold and nickel Techs in the past and that includes dozens of them.
