My, how things have changed over the past year or so.
I have bought five new GD66 SRs so far this year through AliExpress from different vendors. So far, none have required any heel correction and all had quite acceptable overall geometry.
Here are the last two I purchased.

Not bad for about US$10 each including shipping. Of course the Sinophodic should still steer well clear of these SRs.
The factory edge is sharp but never really shave-ready. This is a common with most new factory produced SRs. They still need to be properly honed to get them shave-ready.
