Be gone with: skin irritation, razor burn, rashes and blotchiness. This Primal Earth Refresh Shave Gel is a natural plant-based genius at delivering a close, healthy shave. No harsh chemicals!
Soap really doesn't do it for your face. It's too dyhydrating. This Primal Earth Calming Facewash is packed with skin-conditioning Aloe Vera, Green Tea and Plant Glucosides to gently cleanse your face. It will foam and cleanse without removing essential oils.

Why use it?

It lubricates as you shave and is packed with Aloe Vera, Green Tea, Harakeke and Plant Glucosides. It's soap free and moisturising for an awesome shave.
Results:

  • Gel maximises water absorption to protect against chafing and dryness.
  • Shave extra close and smooth with NO irritation from chemicals or dryness.
  • Vitamin E protects and nourishes skin.

What's in it?

This product is packed with skin-conditioning plant extracts wild-harvested in New Zealand.

  • Plant-based Glucosides provide a soap-free cleanse.
  • Harakeke gel extract lubricates for a comfortable, close shave.
  • Active Organic Green Tea, Aloe Vera, Jojoba and Mamaku aid razor glide while moisturising.
For more info check out ingredients. Primal Earth products are all dermatologically tested.

Directions:

  • Take a small amount between palms and lather.
  • Apply to face and shave with a sharp blade then rinse.
Proudly made in New Zealand!

Tried Primal Earth today ..bot from CountDown at 8.99....first experience with gel...but was keen to try and support local products...

Felt weird coz its gel...not typical soapy whitey creamy....this is transparent green color...just use hand to apply on face.....did 4 passes....and got BBS too...it does get dry fast...just use water to tap on face using hand and back to shave again....very minimal irritation....maybe due to aloe vera?

not bad

Hi there.
Fellow kiwi here.
Before I started traditional wet shaving I used to use Primal earth and thought it was pretty good for a gel.
Then I discovered traditional soaps and have never looked back.
It did take me quite a while to get my lather down but once you've got it nothing else will touch it.
Have you tried traditional soaps and creams?
Mancave Grooming have a great range and thats where I get most of my supplies.
Also BKEF on Trade Me has a great range.

Gidday Mate
Traditional soaps like which one? is it the one i mentioned above @ globalsoap? yup have bought from both of them before...:)

Guess what...warehouse selling Primal earth for 6 bucks now....grrrr...

Tabac, Speick stick, Palmolive stick, Arko stick.
I grate mine down into a puck and load from there.
I find any soap with tallow works great for me.

I have been shaving with this since my last post every 2 days once....this is truly amazing for me....no pimplish on my face and i feel smooth and supple compared to brush and cream/soap....i think my skin doesn like soap or cream or brush that exfoliating too much and loves aloe vera and + witch hazel in this gel.....this will be my first choice from now on.....getting BBS too....

Primal Earth is ok stuff, not tried the other one yet but i think i need to ;]

I have the PE gel in a jar and use my brush to apply it ... works well and I don't get my hand all covered in stuff. I get no irritation at all ... must be the Aloe ....but it does dry and go all sticky quite quickly. I need to wash my face after a shave to get it all off. I have all PE range at the moment, it was a nice birthday gift.

I tried with brush first day..it doesnt lather...and used hand...yeah it does get sticky and dry quickly...that's the drawback...

cleanshaved

I’m stumped
Global Soap is the only soap I have demoted to the shower.
It seams crazzy that a tallow shaving soap with lanoline is not made here in NZ. Oh well never mind Mikes soaps it is for me.
