I found this on the bay and I thought it was belonging here. Someone need to update the data base about the Super Speed date codes O.O

Is the seller sure it wasn't a 1969 model? Why would 1993 be given 2 seperate date codes?

A 1969 wouldn't have this handle pattern and would have the diamond bed.

I vote mis-read by the seller. Certainly not the 1969 design handle and base plate. Listing doesn't show any view of the bottom of the base plate . . .

Also, I believe O would indicate 1994 . . . 1969 (the "O" in Alex's picture above) plus 25 equals 1994, which would be the next "O".

Does anyone notice what looks like a smudge of paint on the TTO knob, like the handle may be a re-paint? I would not be surprised if that were the case, and the bottom of the base plate is corroded as well, leaving the date code hard to read?

If it is, in fact, an "O", it would change what we know about the last production of Super Speeds!

This has to be a mis read, why would gillette be making this design so late? Nobody was buying them and it would be produced at a loss.
