Good morning gents,
It seems that Gillette has replaced the plastic dispenser with a cardboard box across its DE razor blade line. I noticed today at the Kruidvat chemist/drugstore that the Gillette Super Silver blades (which are not very good) are now also in a cardboard box, comparable to the packaging for the Gillette Platinums which are the successor of the "Swedes".
It's kind of strange that the Gillette Platinums ("Swedes") in the UK seem to have disappeared rather than succeeded by the cardboard box version. In other European countries -- Scandinavia/Portugal (Platinums), France (Bleue Extra), Netherlands (Super Silver) -- the plastic dispenser is replaced by the cardboard box version. Why would the UK be the exception here?
