Is this some sort of FrankenTech? It's got the same ball handle as my '61 Tech. No serial/code to be found anywhere.

Any help would be appreciated!!

I have one just like yours, except gold. mine also has a ball-end and is without a date code on the guard. could just be an old type in really good condition

It's an old type with a tech handle because the original handle cracked.

This is a Franken Razor, but the combination is quite common. What you have is a Gillette Old Type head on the handle from a ball end Tech.

The original handles for the Old Types had a design flaw, which resulted in the vast majority of them cracking over time.

Many users, who preferred the Old Type head, simply bought a low cost Tech, and switched the handle onto their Old.

Here are some NOS Gillette Old's showing the heavily cracked handles (note that these are new razors, and the handle cracked on it's own while in storage in the box):

10 mint condition Gillette Old heads would have been awesome though!!
