Gillette Blue Blade

I purchased a 50's SS from one of the fine gentlemen on this site a while back and it included a vintage Gillette Blue Blade with a date code of R-3 on it. I'm assuming the blades are dated the same as the razors, making this a 1971. Are these blades good to shave with? I have seen the thread talking about how good the Gillette Spoilers are, how about these ones?
