I just won this razor on the bay. Is this a razor I can use everyday or only with 2-3 days growth? I use astra sps. My beard is heavier thn normal and i have a sensitive face. Would this razor shave me in 2 passes? I know angle will be imperative with an oc, but are there any other tips for my 1st shave with it? Also what about problem areas like below lip area and neck?

Use that baby! I'm pretty sure our grandfathers back in the 30's did. I'm just trying out a NEW Goodwill and using it daily with the same blade as you. It is moderately aggressive compared to a Tech of SS but you should do fine if your technique is good. I'm finding that I get a pretty close 2-pass but I usually do some touch up. You are correct that blade angle is important and also remember very light pressure. It took me a few shaves to get the right angle and touch for my beard and skin. Go easy, take your time, and you will find the zone. On problem areas, I just take it even easier and lighter and really watch the angle. Short, light strokes does it. Good luck!

I'd say the futur will be more aggressive than it.
The NEWs are highly regarded razors here. I love mine and have bought three modern made handles as i wanted more weight.

The NEW is the only razor you will ever need. As ironfist mentioned, however, you may need some modern handles. I frequently use Tradere handles on my many NEWs, but I prefer shorter/fatter handles. So, I bought the cheap-o iKon handle on Amazon.

I must confess that I like it. After Christmas, I may have to buy another one.
I use my 1929 New everyday and would not consider switching to another DE. Enjoy it, it is a very forgiving razor.
Here is my coonCat Bob handle on a LC New. Bob was a master.

The iKon Shavecraft handle fits the New with the smaller cut-out perfectly. The diameter of the top of the handle where it joins the head is 8.5mm, afaik.
