I had an impulse buy a week ago on a Gillette #15.
It was $30 + postage. It was very user grade, plating loss everywhere, almost no original plating left. But I thought for the price it was still a good deal and ideal for replating.
There were a bunch of pictures and they all looked fine. From past experiences I look closely at silo doors, blade gaps, hinges, etc.
I get it today and it's awful. The silo doors are severely bent. We are talking 8mm blade gap! The silo door hinges are completely bent and non-repairable. It's even missing a tooth (which was hidden in all the photos). The bottom has also dropped out. I suspect that they opened it manually (and forcibly) for the photos. Postage and packing were all ok.
I immediately lodged a paypal claim and the seller immediately responded and paypal notified me that of my refund and that my dispute was now closed. It said that it should take a few days to process.
However, in the notes for the refund the seller said, "Please just return the item & a full refund for the original posted price will be given."
Hang on. Didn't I already get my refund?
What should I do now? I already got my refund I assume (it hasn't appeared yet). Am I obligated to post it back if they have already refunded me? That's extra money and hassle I will have to spend for their error. I suspect they knew it was crap as well since they didn't even question the dispute. They will just relist it and sell it to another one of us!
