GFT Sandalwood vs AOS Sandalwood

Trumper's has a much sweeter smell than AoS. I find both to be pleasant (although I've heard Trumper's referred to as "cloying"; however AoS doesn't seem to last as long on me as does the GFT.

GFT is nice, but a little on the unisex/feminine side.

AOS has a prominent evergreen (+ eucalyptus?) note that makes it pretty different from other sandalwoods....very masculine, but very much a winter fragrance, even "Christmas-y." I also think the AOS smells a little more natural (to me.)

I like them both, but AOS is the only one I can wear regularly.

First off, I have to say that both these scents give off a very boring vibe which doesn't mesh well with my personality.

However, don't get me wrong, I love the scent of AOS Sandalwood but I think it would be best suited as a home fragrance oil. Try spraying it around your house to see what I mean! This is more along the lines of what I was hoping the Body Shop Sandalwood fragrance oil would smell like.

In regards to the GFT Sandalwood, I personally find it too old-school for me, however I think this would smell fantastic on the older gentlemen out there. Fantastic longevity on this one and, and has a very "classic" feel to it. The AOS Sandalwood is much more warm and comforting to me, whereas the GFT Sandalwood is slightly colder and seems quite synthetic to my nose.

These are very different on me.

GFT Sandalwood - opens citrusy, as it dries down I get spicy woods and leather notes with Vanilla coming in as it gets into the basenotes. Very traditional, immediately makes me think of "cologne"

AOS Sandalwood - very linear, evergreen and sandalwood scent. Soapy and clean.

I don't like GFT Sandalwood cologne at all. I love the cream, though.

I haven't tried AOS Sandalwood cologne. But if it smells similar to the ASB, then I think I would like it.
