German Travel Razor ID?

I bought this today at a local antique store. Don't know what it is but it is a very cool travel razor. Anyone know who made them? No other markings except Made in Germany on the back of the case and under the bottom plate of the head. It is in as found condition no plate loose and everything is straight. I can't wait to use it.

More than likely a Hoffritz made by Merkur or just a Merkur. Couldn't tell you what year, but the older ones have silver or white painted silver handles. Also older ones say M. I. Germany. So yours might be a newer one from the 70s or 80s because of the chromed brass handle. I have a few and they don't say hoffritz or merkur in the case like the full sized cases do.

Its an awesome razor for travel because once the razor is cased, it's really compact. I was surprised how small when I first received mine. It would fit practically anywhere!

I like it whatever it is. Very compact when I the case. Thanks for info and links guys. Gonna use it in the morning.

I have the exact same one, and I too was shocked when i first got it. I knew it was small, but not that small.

Now that's a little gem in a beautiful box! I have a similar one (not as nice as yours, pictures here), it is the mildest close shaving razor I own so far. I have no idea which company or companies made them, but given the small differences between the ones that resemble your razor I'm inclined to believe that there was a great demand for travel razors less costly than the Hoffritz I saw (IIRC) somewhere here on B&B.
