Geo. F. Trumper Customer Service

I just received my free samples of Trumpers in the mail (for more info on this blast from the past, see http://badgerandblade.com/vb/showthread.php?t=93760 ). The Wild Fern and Eucris are awesome. I am definitely going to pick up some Wild Fern soon. Eucris is an eventual-buy.

I also wanted to give kudos to the GFT customer service. Very prompt, very friendly e-mail, in addition to great products!

The Penhaligon's samples that are also on the way haven't arrived yet, although those are coming from New York and the GFT came from London. I'm looking forward to those too.

Don't count on the Penhaligon's samples. I was supposed to get some...about two months ago.

GFT has great service. They answer every e-mail and will always send free samples.

I got different selections...I'd mentioned Wild Fern & Skye, so they sent those along with Lime Extract and GFT. I like their Wild Fern, but it doesn't last like English Fern. Skye seems reminiscent of bathroom cleaner, but I really enjoy the GFT. Samples were about half the size of Penhaligon's
I was surprised someone is still awaiting their samples from Pen...mine took < one week!

GFT is really nice. I also really enjoy the Astor and Eucris.

Last year when I visited Trumper's original shop on Curzon street in London, the staff were truly fantastic.

They loaded me with free samples, were very helpful and informative (they even gave me a drink of very fine scotch while I browsed).

Kudos to Trumper's!!!

Too bad they can't ship that to the States with the sampler.

Wow! I hope they'll be friendly to an Italian couple, too... (Hoping that they don't think we voted for Berlusconi...:biggrin: )

Man, I need to make it to the other side of the pond. That sounds like some top notch service. What kind of scotch did they offer up? I love me some scotch. Even some blended swill mixed in with amaretto. It's called a Godfather and it's a serious drink. Goes down a little too easy. I wouldn't do that to a nice Oban or Laphroaig though. Those just need a branch of agua, some awesome tunes, and good company.

I found their service to be top notch. I recently bought a the sampler. In addition to the products offered, they threw in a few free samples of skin food because I asked it to be tailored for shaving.

Who wouldn't be friendly to an Italian couple?

Italy and Italians are fantastic!!!

I love visiting Italy!

You're very kind! :) Sorry if I'm going OT in replying...

I have to say that Italy is beautiful...the Italians are not so beautiful! :) Here in Europe I heard many people complaining about us ... and I can't blame them. Although I think I'm not that kind of Italian, I have to agree to those European people who think that most Italians are unpolite, they speak too loudly (this is a thing that annoys me so much...), they're, for some extent, racists among themselves (North vs South... and this is also amplified by some political parties...) and so on... Moreover, our Prime Minister is the worst we could have... :( :( And all Europe laugh at us... the worst thing is that the Italians are unaware of this, and continue supporting him, thinking that abroad Italy is respected...
Another thing that I hate is that many restaurant owners, as well as hotel owners, are not so honest when their customers are not Italians... This occurs particularly in Rome... and I think this is a shame, since tourism is a GREAT resource for Italy, and some dishonest people ruin the international image of Italy.
Anyway...after this vent... I suggest you to visit Genoa, in your next trip to Italy! It's not famous as Rome, Milan and Florence, but it's worth visiting. Beautiful historical centre (one of the most ancient in Europe), beautiful seaside landscapes, and so on... ;)

I e-mailed Geo F Trumpers yesterday, and they immediately e-mailed me back, copied in blue below:

Dear Mr. Jakespoppy (I changed the name so you'd recognize me),

Thank you for your email.

As you have provided your address, a selection of complimentary fragrances will be sent out to you today, which I do hope you will enjoy.
