Gave Klar Kabinett a try

Got my order in from RoyalShave yesterday which contained a block of Klar Kabinett. I wanted to try it after reading the reviews and see if I liked a veggie based soap. Well everything just worked out fine this morning. I happy to report this soap is now part of my three soap rotation along with Tabac and VDH Luxury.

As for the soap, it has a lot going for it. As a face latherer it is easy to lather to a rich thick consistency. Almost as easy as my other soaps which says a lot for a veggie soap. The scent is a pleasant rose which is not overpowering at all. No doubt it will fad over time. Price wise it is a bargain as you get two large sticks for around $20+. I'm very happy with this purchase.

Now I have three types of soaps in my rotation, tallow, glycerin and veggie. And all three are easy to lather and provide great thick and slick lather.

+1 on Klar Kabinett.

Some folks have simply but off a shave stick size piece of the bar, wrapped a small piece of foll around the base for an instant shave sticks. I simply love it pushed into an old spice mug.

I got moves like Jagger
Really like my Klar Kabinett. I think it'll be in my normal rotation in about 2 years as I work through my "other" stock to get down to my "most loved" ones.

Klar Kabinett is awesome. I normally prefer tallow soaps but this one has a permanent spot in my rotation.

Would everyone please stop talking about how great Klar Kabinett shave soap really is. Everyone on this forum knows I am weak and can easily be persuaded to buy Klar Kabinett with its wonderful Rose fragrance and Luxurious lather that leaves the skin feeling better than before the shave. Don't mention to me how I can purchase this Great shave soap for less than $25 and get two large Klar Kabinett bars that if price was based on performance the cost should be 3 times as much.....so stop talllllkkkkinnng......excuse me I need to place my order.

I agree with Tom. All this is talk isn't helping at all, especially as my to try list is already a mile long.

Well, I took the plunge as one of the Kind members here sent me a pm and offered to sell me the other half of his Klar. It was a great offer and I look forward to trying this great soap.

this stuff lathers like crazy. really good stuff.
but then again i dont think i have tried a soap or cream i didnt like....except maybe castle forbes cedar....reminded me of a hamster cage smell.

Klar is a great value and produces a nice, thick lather (think Cella but slightly drier).

The geriatric rose scent is an acquired taste though. I keep telling myself I like it because I have so much soap left!

Klar Kabinett is a 10 in my book. Klar Seifen is a 12 :wink2:

If you like the KK try the KS. The Klassik is my #1 soap. Better than C&S, MdC, AOS, and Calani. All tops in my den

Nick, I'll definitely buy a Klar Seifen soap from Klar's in Germany when I'll finish my current Kabinett. Considering the big 2 x 250g bars this is probably not going to happen this year.

Your patience will only make it that much better :wink2:

The Kabinett is a very good soap. But the Seifen :001_wub:

This is somehow a funny situation about Klar's shaving soaps. Some say that, scent aside, there's no difference at all in performance between KK and KS, some others say the difference is so little that the Seifen is not worth the (much) higher price, some others say that KS is a vastly superior soap! Of course there's only one way for me to know...
