I was chatting with my grandmother's friend last week, an 82 year old gentleman, and I asked him about how he shaved.
He told me that he used to use a Rolls razor (which he'll dig out to show me) but now uses a Fusion Power (!) which he loves. He was surprised, as people often are, when I told him that DE razors are still in production.
To lather up, he said he uses Wilkinson shaving soap and a brush he bought in the supermarket. Apparently until recently he had been using the same Ever-Ready brush he got when he started shaving (some 65 plus years ago) but left it behind when staying in a hotel over the new year!
He forbade me to call them on his behalf as it "only had about 2 hairs left in it" and he would be embarrassed asking for it - seemed pretty relaxed about the whole thing.
Anyway, it's his 83rd birthday next week so I'll get him an R89 and some TOBS soap to get his verdict on those.
