Fountain Pen Friendly Christmas Cards

Does anyone know any particular brands that have fountain pen friendly cards and envelopes? I know James said ebay for old unused cards at one time but I am wondering if any known companies make some currently?

Thoughts from the hive? :)

Nothing that I know of... I do like the idea of reusing cards or just gluing a nice picture onto your regular stationary.

I sign a ton of get well, birthday, anniversary and other cards on a monthly basis for the folks in my department. I use whatever ink I have loaded. Some inks are great others are a mess. I'd try getting a card you like and finding an ink that works well with it. Might be easier than trying to find an ink friendly card.

Last year I bought a pack of Dollar store ones (Figured my italic writing would distract people from the lack of hallmark uhh hallmarks) and they did just fine, no feathering at all

Why not get blank cards and glue in your handwritten notes. That way you can use a paper you trust and will give the card a little panache.

I was in a drug store that has a bit of everything in it. Got some Yuletide Traditions branded cards that are passable for decent with my Pelikan M200 CI'd BB with Edelstein Adventurine. Got a dozen for $2.

The ink is a fun Christmas ink for those wondering ;)

Needs milk and a bidet!
I bought these cards from Meijer - sorry folks Meijer is only a local store. but American Greeting cards like this could be found in walmart and target I'm guessing. or online

I then got my timer out to do a test. I wrote various things then started the timer. I waited 10 seconds then closed the card and press it together to make sure the ink would touch the other side of the card.

You can see at the top of the card the blue ink from the writing - that was an instant close - no wait time after writing. The one tiny spot was a 10 sec wait time. I did various 10 second waits.

Using a platinum plaiser fountain pen with pilot Iroshizuku Kon-peki blue ink. Looks like these card will do just fine IMO.

*the dark shadow splotches are from my camera not on the paper - I should probably try to fix that.

One thinks about this as the holiday season approaches. I also have an M200 & I was thinking of using Edelstein Topaz, or an interesting green. Will look into the Yuletide Traditions and American Greetings options (as posted above).

I am a big fan of the holiday postcards by Crane's. They are as opulent as their full sized cards at a fraction of the price, and they require less postage to boot. There's nothing like Crane's paper IMHO.

We print our own cards so that we can customize them for different groups of people (family, friends, coworkers, etc. . .)

I really love the Red River Paper matte cards. They are scored, fold to 5x7 and have envelopes to match. The best thing is they are super FP friendly. I came across them on a google search a couple of years back and when you buy 100, they work out to something like 30 cents per card.
