The black one is unmarked and the bigger one is made by Tripoli. Want to get new knots in each of these and maybe use the black one as a travel brush but don't want to use these as my first restoration jobs. Any advice in terms of where I could send these to get new knots put in and what might look and perform well?

Check the vendor / hobbiest forum and send a pm to one of those guys whose work you like. I can recommend Rudy Vey, but there are many good options.

Thanks mike. I'm thinking that a boar knot would be good in the big un and a badger for the wee guy but I don't know if that'd be good or not
