A couple of interesting articles/threads that I ran across when looking into their shoes. Living in the US, I am happy to buy from a US manufacturer, but I was a little surprised to see how small the company actually is (415 employees). And when buying a pair of their shoes I was surprised to see they are made of imported leather, since the US must have 100K+ head of cattle???. When I thought about it, I assumed the leather importation was mostly because of the labor (safety regulations?) involved with the tanning process, but I have no actual understanding of that or the leather producing industry.
