Floris Shaving Brushes

Hi all,

Anyone have any information on these? Their creams and colognes are great, but never heard anything about the brushes. I'm in the market for a brush and the Large Super Badger seems to be calling my name.

Anyone know who makes these? Ever tried one?

Thanks!

Quick update:

1) The only information I have received thus far is that these are not made by Simsons/Vulfix. Someone that works for Simpsons referred to Floris brushes as "cheap foreign imports". Based on price, that pretty much covers every other manufacturer (Omega, Semogue, Vie-Long, DaVinci, and many many more) except for Plisson. Also, last I checked, all hair came from China...so aren't they all "imports" in some way?

2) The Best Badger did feel a lot like Simpsons Best. This, from someone that owned both.

3) I took the plunge and ordered the large (5 inch) version in Super. The brush is stamped as handmade in England, so I'm hoping that's a good sign. Should have it today/tomorrow and will try to post a review after a few uses.

Now half as wise
These don't get a lot of press here. Please give us your impressions and some pics when you get them. Unless they are completely custom for Floris, someone here should be able to make an educated guess as to origin.

So, initial thoughts after a couple of test lathers.
1. This thing is huge! Seriously, it is 5 inches tall. Definitely not a little brush.
2. Not super dense, but not overly flimsy..
3. Seems to have good flow through.
4. Super Badger grade hair. Feels very soft with a hint of scritch.
5. Haven't tried it on soaps yet, but feels better suited to creams (whipped up a good lather very quickly).
6. Inside of the box had a wonderful cologne scent
