Flat sided wedge?

Hi all,

i just saw today wedge, witch had completely flat sides of blade, like \/. Is it possible it was original design, or just owner honed surface flat (with electric sharpener i guess)
i never saw flat razor before..
i was razor made in sheffield, do not remember complete name, though.

That's exactly what a true wedge is. Most of what people call wedges are really part hollows. I doubt someone would turn a hollow into a true wedge because these old wedges are really thick and big so the hollow would have had to of started out even bigger which is unlikely.
