Actually a bit more, 9 shaves in total. have been able to get presentable shaves with the straight from the first shave so i consider myself lucky. Not going to BBS since that would require ATG which i'm not prepared to try yet.
Things I have learned so far:
1) Take your time, if your rushed or distracted don't try
2) Prep is king, the only 2 times i had weepers were shaves i rushed my normal prep
3) Don't expect your first pass to shave you clean, your mowing down hairs a little at a time
4) Multiple WTG passes does wonders
5) Straight is the most comfortable shave i have ever used
