What's new

First Vintage Tech on its way

I bought a new Edwin Jagger DE89 last month as my first DE razor, but was also interested in the older DE razors so after a few weeks of looking at stuff on ebay UK I bagged a diamond pattern ally handled Tech for a reasonable £6.50.

Just waiting for the postie to deliver now.

You'll like it. It's pretty similar to your DE89 but slightly milder. With the aluminum handle it will also likely be slightly lighter.

Enjoy.

New Tech arrived today, date stamped V 1975 I guess

Didn't realise they were that small

Looks completely unused to me.

Dwarfed by the DE89

Weighs in at 30g with the ally handle

Good little addition to the travelling washbag.

Not sure whether to keep the blades or sell them. Seems to be a ready market for vintage blades. They're still in the celophane wrapper.

Nice! I'd tell ya to keep em and try them out...there's a reason there's a market for them. Might as well see what the hype is about.

I suggest you try your EJ89 handle on the Tech. I did, and found it to be a much better shaver!
