Finally got round to purchasing my first vintage razor, a Gillette Tech. I think it's either a 60's or 70's version with Aluminium handle, made in England. I got it off Ebay and it finally arrived today, it goes without saying that I gave a good clean straight away and gave it a trial run. I have to say I'm very impressed, a great little shaver, used a Med Prep blade and it was a very smooth and comfortable shave.
One thing that surprised me was just how small it was, my other razors are a Merkur HD and a 2011 R41, which are both reasonably heavy compared to this tiny razor.
If anybody out there is an expert on Tech's I would love to know what year the date code refers to, its stamped on the underside with a 3 and 1, I can post some photos if it helps.
Anyway, just thought I would share my first experience with a vintage razor.
