First Time Using A Fatboy.......wow !

Only been into DE Shaving for a few months, have been using A Super Speed and getting good shaves with Derby blades, a few days ago i received my 3rd Fatboy, and as this one had some wear to the head i decided to use it rather than add to my collection...

I put in a "Swede" set the Fatboy to 3, using Palmolive Cream, tried it out...ok but not great, changed to 5 and all i can say is..................wow, :001_smile:001_smile:001_smilereally really nice smooth shave and very comfortable.

I think this will be my regular razor from now on...........soooooo nice :001_smile

nice. I haven't used my Fatboy yet. I finally got around to cleaning/sanitizing all my safety razors so i've decided to use one at a time rather than have 5-6 loaded and ready to go. i'm currently using my Tech but once the blade dulls on that i'll switch to the Fatboy

Really glad you are enjoying it, I know what you mean :001_smile .When I don't have the time to save with the str8, I use a Slim at 5, and it is really nice. My FB is too shiny and I rather keep it that way for some time :001_rolle

The Slim is similar, IMHE. I prefer it to the FatBoy, but that seems to be a minority opinion. Both the Slim and FatBoy are mild razors, but easy to handle and easy on the face, so you can dial them up some without major damage. Don't hurry, but go for three easy passes, and voila! you rook mahvelous. And with the weight, they feel like quality pieces.

I like the slim a bit more as well.
