first shave with mwf

WOW, what big diff using mwf compared to ej sea buckhorn, c.o bigalow, an vdh deluxe, im glad i finally broke down spent lil extra $ on the fat, been hesitant for long while now to purchase lil more expensive soap. my ej 89l an sharks just glide over my face nice an smooth, its like jumpin on sled on the slickest sheet of ice. best shave yet im stoked  i think i just found my 1 only soap without trying other highend brands, can"t believe i been missing out this whole time, so for anyone still thinkin about buyin it just do it no regrets here best money ive spent in long time sorry for long boring post im lil over welmed.:w00t:

I cannot wait! Mine came today and I'll be taking it on it's maiden voyage tonight. Any pointers for lathering the fat?

Haha i really gotta just stick to my guns. I'm holding it in the highest regard. Do you guys soak yours before hand or just go at it with a damp brush?

I don't soak the puck, I'm a bit different since I use the puck like a shave stick and rub it on my face. It's quick and easy, make sure you face lather, don't waste your time using a bowl.

In a moment of clarity I just recalled that I got a sample of this months back and never got round to trying it. :blushing:

Will dig it out and give it a shot in the morning - just hope it's still in decent shape...

no need to soak, I sometimes give it a light kiss with a damp brush before hopping into the shower to soften it a bit, but that may not at all be needed. The most important thing to do is spend time loading it and face lather. A wet face can help.

Now that I can get good lather easily, I am LOVIN' da fat. It does seem to allow me to shave more closely, yet remains protective even when it's only a thin layer. This is one of the LESS expensive soaps I've tried, I think it was $9.60 SHIPPED from the UK. Now that AOS I recently ordered, THAT was expensive :blushing:

There are a few great soaps here that have bad reputations because of how they lather or how they smell. But with a little bit of patience and practice, they soon become our favorites. MWF is one of them.:thumbup::thumbup:

I put a healthy tablespoon of warm water on the puck before hopping in the shower. Then when ready I pour the same water in a bowl. Charge the damp brush with about 10 swirls across the puck and then whip a nice lather in the bowl with the soapy bit of water. Voila!! This soap likes a bit of water, IMHO, so don't be afraid to experiment.:w00t:
