First round with the Futur

Got my new shiny Futur, thanks Blackman and took it for a ride this morning. Did the usual prep and lathered up, ready to go. My first impression is this razor is HEAVY, it's like shaving with a paperweight, takes getting used to. But a got a really nice shave, as a matter of fact for the first time out with it a really nice close shave. Set it at 4 for the first pass, and finished up on 2 , adjusting it in the middle of a shave was no big deal also. I think this razor gets a bad rap, I'm impressed so far. Any tips from all you Futur lovers out there would be great thanks

It is very easy to lose grip and put your thumb out of commission for 3 weeks. Always use a hand towel to change the settings. This goes double the older the Futur gets - it generally gets more difficult to adjust with time.

I don't the Futur gets too bad of a rap, matter of fact seems like ti gets favorable nod from a lot of posters.

I think a lot of first time double edge shavers make the mistake of choosing the futur as their first razor, which imho is a bad move.
