Just put a TGN 22mm silvertip knot in this guy:

I also sanded and stained the handle, though that didn't come out as well as it could have - didn't use any pre-stain conditioner. I'll post pictures this evening.

Used it for the first time this morning with MWF - incredible lather! And I love the longer handle over the shorter handle that I have with my EJ pure badger brush.

Here it is. I'll admit I haven't varnished the handle yet, but I wanted to get the knot in and use the thing! I also think I figured out how to take care of the light spots, so I'll do that before the varnish goes on this weekend.

Rich! If I get ahold of one of these, I am heading in the same direction. I'll rub the handle with tung oil or something similar for a deep, rich finish.

Just noticed your comment. Today was the first day I used the EJ after using the silvertip for a couple of weeks. The EJ Best is a bit firmer and has a pricklier, more stimulating feel on my face. I definitely like them both.
