First Razor

I find that a more aggressive razor is less damaging to the neck area on a ATG pass. I don't have an explanation why but that is my personal experience. I would suggest looking at the wiki (link: http://wiki.badgerandblade.com/Double-Edged_Safety_Razors_Ranked_by_Aggressiveness and http://wiki.badgerandblade.com/Double-Edged_Safety_Razors_Ranked_by_Blade_Gap) and selecting a razor in the most aggressive third of the list, avoiding the Futur for now as it is by far the most aggressive razor on the market and could get you in trouble. If you can get hold of a red-tip Gillette that should be a good start, also Best Shave (www.bestshave.net) has a black plastic razor that works quite well (and is only $1.75, making it a great travel razor) even though it is light as a feather. Many also swear by their Gillette adjustable razor and according to the blade gap list on 4, 5, or 6 it is likely a very capable razor.

+1 on 34c.
Gillette NEW long comb.
Merkur 39C or 37C slant - Close and Comfortable.

I know adjustables get a lot of love but I couldn't get the Slim to work for me after many tries. It was rough and kept nicking me regardless of what blade I used.

Cheers

Regarding your take on aggressive razors and assuming that I stick with a new Merkur 20c, would changing the blade also effect the razors aggressiveness? Just received a sample pack of blades and noticing the differences among blades.
