My usual lately has been the Merkur plastic razor and Feather blade, which is an awesome combo. But I've been wanting a SE for a while and when a good one popped up on BST I grabbed it.
It looks scary but proved hard to mess up with. There is a lot of exposed blade, but the edge is well protected. I got some Pella/Gem blades in the deal so that's what I was using.
Getting a BBS shave proved to be hard and led to some irritation. The shave I ended up with was OK but nothing I couldn't have gotten with my Sensor and with a lot less pain. I will try again, and hope that the blade settles down to something a little less harsh. My Pella injectors are rough the first shave so there is hope.
