First lathe turning/First handle

I decided that I wanted to try my hand at lathe turning. First I had to make a lathe, using a drill motor.

The handle is natural buffalo horn that is basically black, but with light streaks of white.
I wanted this to be travel brush, so I went with an 18mm silvertip grade A knot from TGN.

I learned a lot about turning, and I'm ready to try another handle.
