I recieved my Feather Popular in the mail today so when I got home from work, I figured I'd give it a shot. First of all, my neck is a bit torn up because I've been practicing using my Parker Shavette and I haven't quite gotten the hang of it yet. I had quite a bit of irritation and 2 cuts on my neck that need to heal. I figured 'what the hay' though and loaded up the Feather with the included Feather blade.
So.. if this is what is considered a 'mild' razor, then sign me up. Other than the irritation that was already there from the morning shave, this razor did nothing other than glide nicely over my skin and remove the little bit of stubble that had accumulated. I did a standard 3 pass shave and was very pleased with the results.
The unit itself is a bit on the light side, but I liked it overall. The mechanism works very smoothly and the overall quality seems very good. I'm going to give my face two days to heal and then try again, but if the next shave (and ones after this one) continue to be as good as the one today, I think I'll just stick with this one razor and just collect soaps.
