What's new

Finally! Picked a Fatboy Adjustable....

Finally found one in a store and it was $4.00 and operable... Cleaned up real nice, can't wait for my first shave with it (in abt 45 minutes) :001_cool: Oh and for gee whiz it's a F 2

Have to say, I am a little bummed. Did not feel as good as my TTO Red Tip... I started out on a 4 and quickly moved to a 1 (had about 3 days of growth) and it was pulling them hairs out. Plus I noticed the blade has a slight slant (one side just a little higher), is that normal in this razor or am I in need of a slight repair?

Doesn't sound normal to me. Maybe its been dropped once and has a bent part. Post a pic so we can see what might be the problem.

Am also a recent Fatboy-Noob and the very same happened to me: First I felt (and still do) that the shaves with my F1-dated Fatboy are not bad at all, but they are better with my Red Tip. But I only have just under half a dozen of Fatboy-shaves under the belt, so too early for a final verdict on that.

Mine (Fatboy) also came with a very similar problem as the one you describe. I posted about it here and, if you scroll further down, you'll find the post about what I did to fix it. In that same thread, particulary on the first page, were some very good posts by other members about possible remediation.

Thanks smoothy! I am going to give that a try in the morning, my eys are a little tired to give it a try tonight... Either way, at $4 this razor looks great in my cabinet and in my collection. So I am not too upset that my red tip shaves a little better, but I would like to get the fatboy in the roation.
