What's new

Finally going home

I work on an oil rig in the Gulf of Mexico, been out here 21 days, avidly studying B&B, with credit card in hand, boy did I go overboard shave shopping. Is it that bad you can't remember the details of all the shaving goodies that you bought? I've got boxes coming from all over the place. Nothing outragously expensive, but I am saving money by getting off of cartridges...right? hilarious ain't it?

As posted by another Oil Rig employee..
Remember that if you take a helo out to the Rig that the same aviation rules apply, so you may have a problem with transporting razor blades.
The up side is that the TracII is a pretty darn good razor, and the generic carts for them are pretty cheap.
It'll give you something to look forward to when you get ashore.

Have fun opening everything and trying it out. And yes, you are saving money ...on blades at least :001_smile

It appears as if the ADs are kicking in. We all claim that we get into wetshaving to save money, then end up spending small fortunes on shaving stuff we don't need.

I agree on the flight rules. Might get my kit shipped by boat. There's always another way...I was tracking down my orders, got some goodies coming from The gentlemens Quarter, Men's Direct, and Bullgoose. Also waiting on two ebay packages...The UPS/Fedex man is going out to the country several times this week...haha.

The Gentlemen's Quarter...mmmmmm. That angel from West Virginia is a magician with her soaps! I hope you picked up her Cavendish Black! The alpha and omega of tobacco scented soaps IMHO!:thumbup1:

Oh, and welcome home and welcome aboard!

You have ruined my day. I guess I can't place any DE product orders today. :w00t:

I believe that the un-necessity of all the stuff is what makes the hobby so enjoyable. All we would "need" to shave would be a cartridge razor and canned foam, but we choose to make it something special. Necessary? No. Worth it? Absolutely!
