Fatip Piccolo

My new razor Fatip Piccolo. With Bolzano it is superb shaver. I love it!:thumbup1:

I can shave closer with it but get some razor burn. I think the blade buffing ATG is causing the problem. With the Progress I just reduce the blade exposure and there is no razor burn. The slant was also very comfortable. I have come to the conclusion I need to adapt my technique for the open comb, so am working on it.

I started using two razors, saving the open comb for atg passes and touch up only. I've also been comparing personnas and astras. Astras are so smooth that you don't even feel the blade during wtg passes. Plus, i can get four shaves from an astra, while personnas only give me three shaves without issue. Pretty awesome considering they're about 9 dollars per 100

I recently procured a Fatip piccolo. I've been wanting an open comb for quite a while. I have to say the handle was shorter than i anticipated (shorter than my fatboy). It shave really well, but I may change the handle for a longer...

I should be getting my Fat Tip Grande some time next week. It will be my first open comb so I'm looking forward to the experience.

Nice razor, Pexu.

Instead of blade buffing, you might find it works better to simply use short strokes moving in one direction. Try using the comb to draw some of the lather back over that same area, and then repeat. It is quick and dirty, but it leaves just enough lather to work with. This will also help you to maintain the proper blade angle during the ATG pass. It is just one technique of many that might help.

Thanks for that. I will try that.
It's mainly the chin / beard area. I will also try a couple of extra XTG passes in that area to reduce the need to blade buff.
