FaTip Piccolo versus Merkur 41c

I've been shaving with the Merkur 41c 1904 OC razor for a couple of months now, having decided I'd had enough of cartridge prices. I've been getting pretty good results, but the RAD is kicking in a bit, and I find myself eyeing the nickel-plated FaTip Piccolo as an option to get more variety into my morning shaves. That said, I have some questions for any who may have made a direct comparison between these two razors.

How much more aggressive is the FaTip, in comparison to the 41c that many apparently rate as a "mild" OC option? How much of a difference in technique, if any, is needed in your experience? Do you find that you'll choose a different blade to shave with when using a more aggressive razor?

Thanks in advance for reading, and for any replies.

i was not thrilled with the 41c i had (dont have that one any more) the fatip is for sure aggressive but in a good way imo. you do have to be a bit careful the first few times with it but otherwise its not the beast people make it out to be. in fact the fatip was one of my earliest razors and i feel like i my as well learn with the worst case scenario this way i dont ever have to worry later. just go for it and use a more mild blade at first. my fave 2 blades at this time with the fatip are the voskhod for mild and the gillette yellow on the sharp side. otherwise for a daily shaver my fav still up till not is my ikon oc with the oss handle. if you do go with a fatip imo go with the grande model or get a heavier handle. the one that comes with it is very light for the grande and way to small for my hands with the piccolo

Just got my Fatip a few days ago. It feels aggressive when you use it, but when you're done, it seems like it was more bark than bite. I'm really enjoying it.

Thanks, guys.

If I do get a FaTip, I'm looking ar pairing it with a UFO handle for more weight, assuming I find it necessary.
