Growing up my dad and I got involved in boy Scouts and he was there the whole way with me while I earned my eagle scout. While we didn't always get along the greatest my days in scouts were some of the best memories I have of spending time with my dad. Even after I finished he remained as the scout master in the troop and still is to this day. I decided that this year I would show my love and appreciation for him by getting him a gift that would forever remind him of the times we spent together in scouts. I purchased a special boy scout edition ruger 10/22 that I am going to have engraved with our names on it to give him for fathers day. I have recently begun to get more serious about shooting and this seems to be the best way to reunite us in the one thing that brought us together with the best memories of the time we spent together. I know a gift from the heart like this will mean more to him than anything else would and I can't help but get a little emotional and attached to a gift like this, it is way more than a gun, it is a memory of the life we shared together. We may not have the best of relationships but but what we do have is a memory of the best times we ever shared together.
