Fatboy Pricing

So while I am a "new" DE shaver I have done a bunch of research. This bought me to notice the Fat Boy and what a nice looking boy he is ;-)
Now because I am in Australia I think the chances of finding one in the wild are Buckleys and none. To this end I have hit up eBay, well there is quite a range of pricing on there. What type of pricing would be a good ball park to look at in relation to a Fat Boy? Am happy to restore it myself so if its dirty and tarnished thats ok as long as it functions well.

Looking forward to hearing some advice. :)

About 35-40 for a crusty boy and twice that price for a cleaned one.
Add an extra if it come with the case and another extra if it's in very good condition.

This razor for whatever reason is very desirable and can be very expensive, I think when they were new they were $1.95 and now can go for hundreds. If its rare and mint maybe to someone its worth that but if its user grade you will probably be lookin at new razor prices for a used razor. Like the man said it's up to you to figure out what its worth and that's about what you'll pay :wink2:

Why don't you put a post in the Aussie section there might be some local contacts there that can help out.

Once you post score gets above 50 you can put a Wanted to Buy in the BST section, the Gents here may well have what you are looking for with minimal risk.
I have purchased off several already and can only say top people to deal with and the prices are fair to excellent.

As always thanks for the advice. I agree its worth what Im prepared to pay for it but its always good to see what a median price is. I have my eye on a couple on ebay so will see how they go.

Nice buy Joezamboni you got a nice piece there.
Yes agreed Redzone, cant wait to interact with the guys in the Aussie section. Many of them have been super helpful so far.

Search sold items on ebay is the best way to find out values. Many razors are listed as fat boys but there should be a few hundred sold ones to give you an idea.
