A friend of mine on here sent me his extra bottle of this stuff called Acqua di Colonia Toscana. At first I didn't like it, but after pretty much getting all cleaned up this morning and going through the whole routine, I must say my mind is changed. It smells like orange peels, and according to someone on Basenotes, it has a coriander (cilantro) note in there, too. I don't exactly know what coriander/cilantro smells like, but there is a definite spice present and I would assume that is it. It actually almost has a musky sort of thing going on, but not the full on musk you'd get with a regular musk cologne. It is sweet and some spice is present, and for me that's perfect as I don't like the really musky stuff. The only problem is this stuff is only available in Italy as far as I can tell (except for Italian Barber carrying this in a toothpaste/fragrance bundle). That really sucks because they have a lot of great scents it seems like, and ordering from there directly is quite expensive. So, if anyone wants to try something unique, hit this up. It's citrusy for sure, and I must say I actually quite like it. It's a very simplistic fragrance, it stays the same the whole time. At least for me it does. Some may find that bad, I find it good. It is what it is. I absolutely love fragrances such as Caesar's Man or Southern Blend because they do change (Caesar's Man goes from a fruity kind of fragrance all the way to straight sandalwood), but this is just a nice dirty citrus. It also goes very well with AquaVelva, which is cool. I have a feeling it may also go good with Skin Bracer. The notes just seem to match up.
Also, if anyone can recommend some other small brands like this, let me know. I'm always into trying brands that are almost unheard of if the prices are right. Plus, I have a feeling NO one I will ever meet will wear this fragrance...well, unless I meet a Basenotes member or something
