I designed it myself, sent him the diagrams, and even used Google's SketchUp to give him something to visualize (my diagrams were confusing...even for me).
He is retired now and has a ShopSmith and loves to make Adirondack chairs (made two for my sons), row-boat-shaped decorative shelves, etc. So over Christmas, I convinced him to make me a cabinet for all of my shaving gear.
It has two shelves for razors and brushes. Each of the two shelves has five razor wells and three brush wells. Below those shelves, I asked him to put a shelve with a little lip on the front of it so I could store my aftershaves and shaving soaps. Finally, I asked him to put a lower shelf with two little doored cabinets for my blades, blade can, and alum blocks.
It's about 25 inches high by 20 inches wide by 5 inches deep. I can't remember what it is made out of, but it's stained with Red Oak and covered with a semi-gloss poly (to keep away the water).
Not sure when it will get here, but MAN...I'm STOKED!!!
