I have not had yellow tea. Would you give me a brief commit on it ? I'm still on a journey about tea. Thanks Ad

According to the Heiss book, there is no astringency whatsoever, a wonderful/unique taste, and it's fairly hard to find.

It's due to whatever oxidation process they use, as with most tea. I have not tried it myself! :) Hope to.

Yellow tea — or at least what I've had — is very mild and tastes very similar to a white tea, or in between white teas and some very mild Chinese greens that I've had. I'd go so far as to say I would think of it as a type of white tea.

I'm not sure I totally understand it but the oxidation step involves wrapping the tea in an enclosure, like cloth or and/or covered with something like straw in a box (?), so it's totally unexposed to light. This somehow creates some kind of enzymatic reaction or special type of oxidation.

I haven't seen it sold very often.
