Every So Often You Should Follow Ferris' Advice

"...if you don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it." So Ferris Buehler counsels us all at the end of his epic film.

New year beginnings are always a good time to assess the overall picture of one's general situation.
Among those things to possibly review are the many items of shave gear we have, don't have, had and regret getting rid of, want, don't want, need, and can live without.

Keeping that in mind, I decided to do a brief inventory of my gear...
This proved to be a good thing as afterward, looking back at the list, I acknowledged the bottom line-I surely need nothing else. That's a fact.

However, the tale does not end here. There is still:

Items I want (but hardly need and just ain't gonna buy anytime soon, maybe sometime in 2016 or thereabouts:

-a Boker brown micarta Tree Brand razor
-T&H Grafton shave cream
-Panna Crema shave cream
-a Dovo Prima Klang Extra Hollow razor
-Merkur Futur Brush (or a long-handled one like it)

....and no doubt some other stuff but that will do for now.

Like I said, it is MOST doubtful I will acquire any of it, in the foreseeable future. Why??

Here's my current inventory as of today, thought I would share...hopefully I did not miss anything:

I know this lot pales in comparison to those that many of you all have and I truly respect your focus and determination. Acquiring and maintaining a healthy supply of shave gear is not necessarily an easy endeavor.

Actually I would recommend anyone take a few minutes and scrutinize their inventory of gear. I think it will afford you a different perspective...and you may even find something you forgot you had. Always a fun thing.

Now back to the B/S/T.............:wink2:

Oh...I guess I missed that.
So, kismet rises her head once more.

Irony was I sold that brush (blue handle) thinking a collector may enjoy having it, first edition and all. I later heard the poor guy (who really liked that brush) lost it.......
