Ever Ready at Antique Store

I saw about 6 Ever Ready brushes at a local Antique store over the weekend. I didn't look closely at them because I didn't want to tip off the dealer that I might be interested in them. I saw at least one red and cream 250. How much should those go for in the wild?

In the wild? $2 to $150...

eBay - $8 to $15

What is it worth to you? Are you planning on a restoration?

Yeah, I'd like to get into restoring brushes. I think it would be a fun hobby. They were going for $16 a piece, but I was hoping if I bought the log of 6-10 that I could get them down to a more reasonable figure.

I've been seeing the ever ready brushes in good condition going for about $9 to $20 at the places I have been to in Georgia (Mcdonough, Covington, Savannah).

For me to pay $16 for a vintage brush I would expect it to be in really good condition and in a color combination that I really want. For butterscotch brushes I would pay a bit more and expect a bit less. The hollow plastic brushes are easy to find for under $10 in good condition so I wouldn't suggest going too far over that unless it is something that really draws you in.

That's pretty much in line with what I was thinking. I didn't have a lot of time in the store the other day, so I couldn't have them take them out of the case and look at them, but from the front they looked like they were in good condition. If I can get them down to about 8-10 a piece, I may get some to start trying some restores. I think it would be really fun and would give me a hobby for all my spare time  (spare time, what's that??)
