I received this brush as a "bonus" with a shuttle I ordered on ebay. It has a two piece handle, the upper portion of which is black and marked "Ever-Ready" Guaranteed. The lower portion is transparent and marked "Pure Badger", "Cased", "1CS", "Made in USA" and "Sterilized". The bristles are quite stiff for a badger brush.
Every Ever-Ready brush I have seen has been marked "Set in Rubber" This being "Cased" and having such a low number leads me to suspect that it may be an early model brush. It is in good functional and cosmetic condition.
Does anyone have any information or thoughts?
